  • Mentorship Program

The Mentorship Program is an opportunity for yoga teachers who have already completed a 200-Hour and/or 300-Hour Teacher Training to develop their skills and deepen their knowledge of yoga through personal study under the guidance of an experienced mentor.

This program is intended for those who want to develop the art of teaching and discover their own voice and style. This mentoring program is to help guide and mentor teachers to enhance their teaching and continue to find the balance between being a teacher and eternally being a student.

The program is adjustable for each teacher, as some teachers require more co-teaching and assisting hours and some will benefit from more full class teaching with feedback. Hours and costs vary. Please email Brandy at BrandyHillYoga@iCloud.com for more information.

YTT Testimonials

“I can’t say enough about the training lead by Brandy Hill. Her guidance, expertise, and patience made me feel like no matter what I needed during the training, I had her support. I began training fearful of teaching in a public setting. By the end, I was leading a class on my own with confidence. This program is full of in depth reading and verbal guidance of the anatomy of the body, the breakdown of the asana poses, and the ethical guidelines of the Yamas & Niyamas (the foundation of yoga). Anyone looking to become a teacher or expand their personal practice, should look into the program. I can’t recommend it enough.” - Stacey G. (April 2016 YTT Graduate)

“ Now that I’ve graduated, I miss those weekends and how much I have learned from Brandy regarding yoga. She has dedicated a great deal of her life to the knowledge and practice of yoga. If you’re curious about yoga or becoming an instructor give Brandy a call you will not be sorry! I know I’m not, as I now teach chair yoga to the elderly and those with limited mobility. I LOVE IT!! “ - Roberta M. (December 2016 YTT Graduate)

“I had a great experience during teacher training at Banyan Tree Yoga. I enjoyed the classes and learned so much and was so grateful for Brandy's willingness to work with me over an extended period of time so that could complete my hours in a meaningful manner. The friendships that started during teacher training have continued and these ladies have been a support and encouragement to me over the past year (evidence of the community that was developed during the program). - Sarah B. (December 2016 Graduate)

“The YTT program helped me understand the language of yoga beyond asana, and provided me with an opportunity to deepen my spiritual practice. I came to this program not knowing what to expect and will leave with many friends, a greater sense of direction and peace in my life, and more curiosity about the yogic path than ever! I feel confident in my ability to lead a yoga asana practice, and am grateful to all my teachers and the program.” - Sarah T. (June 2017 Graduate)

“Early in my practice, I understood that yoga was more than holding poses. Yoga is really a way of life, a new understanding of the holistic connection of mind body and soul and it has been a transformative experience for me. The teaching program has solidified my understanding of yoga by immersing me in a curriculum that integrates the trifold of the human experience (mind, body and spirit) in a very cohesive and logical way. Through our studies of traditional yoga philosophy, asana, pranayama, meditation, mantras and yoga anatomy, I have gained a deeper understanding of this wonderful practice and I feel prepared to start teaching soon. More importantly, I have found a tribe, I have found a place where I belong and I feel safe.”

~ Jessica P. (June 2017 Graduate)

“This has been an amazing journey for me and I believe the experience was made more wonderful because of the teachers. The program is perfectly balanced with a little bit if everything, where you become clearer on the Yoga world and what it means to be a yogi. On starting this training, I was thinking I would become a “better” yogi and might be able to finally touch my toes while learning a little about the history of Yoga. Wow, was I wrong when a few weeks in realized this is not just going to help me be a better yogi, but a better human. Now at the end of this training or more like journey of discovery, I realize that not only do I have a A LOT more to learn but that I want to share this knowledge, amazing “feeling” of discovery, and new-found love for myself and the world around me with everyone. It can be hard to explain how eye opening this training is as a person and how it influences our world around us. I can’t wait to begin the next chapter of my Yoga training…whatever that may be I am open arms to what comes my way. “ - Jenn D. (May 2018 Graduate)

“The 200-hour teacher training was amazing! The bond that was created with my group will be a lifetime one. We all brought different talents, strengths, weaknesses, likes, dislikes and personalities yet we gelled. Knowing that we are coming to the end of this program in less than 2 weeks is somewhat sad. Some weekends, one or more of us might have had some sort of life issue (physical, emotional, whatever) but we were always there for one another with positive vibes. Support always came from a place of love. Brandy fostered the importance of this type of openness from the beginning and she certainly is one who leads by example. I have recommended Banyan Tree to all those who have asked about my experience with my training! It’s the best investment of time in yourself.” ~ Kantha N. (May 2018 Graduate)

“This program has been life changing for me. I am so happy that I chose to take my training with Brandy. She is passionate about what she does. I felt supported throughout the entire program. This tool that she and the other teachers have given me will help me to someday offer peace to those who seek it. I am forever grateful.” ~ Samantha G. (May 2019 Graduate)

“Brandy is a very knowledgeable and fun teacher, and our group became very close and supportive of each other soon after the program started. I really appreciated learning about the history and Anatomy of Yoga as well as the Chakras, Reiki and how to offer adjusts and assists while teaching a class. Some of the required books for reading have changed my way of thinking and my outlook on life. Overall, I feel this program has transformed my practice as well as my mind and spirit. I highly recommend this well organized and interesting program to anyone interested in becoming a Yoga Teacher.” ~ Melissa C. (May 2019 Graduate)
